The resource's performance has dropped. What should I do?

Manage day-to-day feedback directly with the resource; if a pattern develops, your account manager steps in for formal performance management.

Day-to-day feedback - missed tasks, slower output, quality concerns on a specific piece of work - goes directly to the resource in the first instance. You manage the work; that's part of it.

If the pattern doesn't resolve through your direct feedback, raise it with your account manager. That's when we step in:

  • A formal performance review under our HR framework
  • A performance improvement plan with clear expectations
  • Move to replacement if it doesn't resolve

By the way, the earlier we hear about a pattern, the more options we have. Don't wait until it's a crisis.
