Can I pay incentives or bonuses to the resource?
Yes, through Kuubiik. Incentive Payments are routed through our payroll with a 5 percent processing fee and GST where applicable.
Discretionary bonuses, commissions, and performance incentives can be paid to the resource through Kuubiik. Because we are the Contractor of Record, the payment runs through our system rather than directly between you and the resource.
How it works:
- You confirm the amount, basis, and approval date in writing to your account manager
- We process the payment through the resource's contractor payment, subject to a 5 percent bank processing fee and GST where applicable
- The payment is treated as an independent contractual payment, not wages or employment benefits
The structure protects the independent contractor classification, which is essential to the Contractor of Record model.
