Are Kuubiik's resources employees?

Resources engaged through Kuubiik are independent contractors. They are not employees of Kuubiik, and they are not employees of the client. This is a key feature of the Contractor of Record model.

What this means in practice:

• The resource works under an independent contractor agreement with Kuubiik
• We coordinate, pay, and administer the engagement on the resource's side
• The client receives invoices from Kuubiik for the service
• Neither party (Kuubiik or the client) operates a traditional employment relationship with the resource
• No partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship is created between the parties

This structure keeps the engagement clean across borders, with appropriate independent contractor administration handled centrally by Kuubiik.

By the way, this is different from our recruitment service. Recruitment placements become direct employees of the client's own entity, employed on the client's terms. The contractor model applies only to outsourcing.
